Our story
Proving who you are shouldn’t be a chore, and checking who someone is shouldn’t be a project.
VerifiOnce is a joint venture between two Australian identity companies: accredited identity verification provider VerifiMe and verifiable credential specialists VO.
We built it because Australians verify their identity over and over, to firm after firm, uploading the same documents every time. That’s slow for businesses and painful for their customers.
So we made it simple. Your customer confirms who they are once and gets a VerifiOnce ID: digital proof of identity they hold on their phone and can share in under 30 seconds.
We’re starting where the need is sharpest: the accountants, lawyers and real estate agents newly covered by AML/CTF obligations, most of them small practices with no compliance department and no appetite for one. But anywhere a business needs to know who it’s dealing with, VerifiOnce works the same way.

Two halves that fit only each other.
Two thousand years ago, when a bond was made between two households, the Romans marked it with a tessera hospitalis: a token broken into two halves that fit only each other. Each party kept one. Years later, a stranger could arrive at the door, produce their half, and be known. The pieces matched, and that was enough. Trust didn’t need to be rebuilt. It had been made once, and it held.
That token is the VerifiOnce mark. Long before documents and databases, identity was something people carried between them via a handshake or a token kept and honoured. We think digital identity should feel the same way: intrinsic, personal, and made once. Your customer holds their half. When they share their VerifiOnce ID with you, the pieces fit, and you know exactly who’s at the door.
